Innovative Teacher Mini-Grant

In 2010 Turning Foundation developed The Innovative Teacher Mini-Grant to promote and support creative and innovative classroom practices in local schools.  By giving teachers potential resources to "think outside the box", educators can design lessons and activities to support 21st century teaching and learning.  Initially these lessons will directly benefit students in classrooms receiving awards but will ultimately benefit other teachers and students as lessons are replicated in other classrooms throughout the valley.  The Innovate Teacher Mini-Grant provides opportunities for students to develop skills that will allow them to compete in a global economy.

The Turning Foundation will seek applications from classroom teachers targeting innovative classroom practices focused on creating and supporting 21st century classrooms. Through a competitive grant process, teachers (either as individuals or teams) have the opportunity to apply for up to $2,000 per project to support efforts that integrate technologies and course curriculum through innovative and creative ways in the classroom.
